CURRENT ACADEMIC STATUS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND	Prof. Dr. Suzana Guxholli is a Professor and Doctor of Science, with a highly multidisciplinary background, with about 47 years of experience in teaching, scientific research, academic leadership, project management, economic development and public policy-making. Her background is deeply interdisciplinary, including economics, finance and accounting, strategic management, public finance and governance. In addition to her education and highest titles in the field of economics, she has a bachelor's and master's degree in mechanical engineering. She has also conducted postgraduate studies and scientific research at well-known international universities, including the University of Strathclyde (UK) and Southern Illinois University (USA) - as a Fulbright scholar.
POSITION	She currently holds the position:Rector of “Barleti” University and President of the Academic Senate. During her career, she has held a number of senior academic and institutional leadership roles, such as Vice Dean, Director of the Institute of Public Management and Administration (IMPA), Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Head of Department, and Director of Higher Education Institutes and Structures at home and abroad. She has been a director and member of many boards of directors in the field of economy, business and education. In parallel, she has served for a long period as an economic advisor to the Prime Minister of Albania.
CONTRIBUTIONS	Her research and academic activities focus on financial and management accounting, auditing, corporate governance, economic policies and sustainable development. She is the author and co-author of a large number of monographs, scientific articles and national and international conference proceedings, as well as university textbooks that have been widely used in bachelor and master programs. She has actively contributed to the building and development of academic and research capacities as well as in the field of quality assurance in higher education. She has made extensive and continuous contributions to the drafting and development of economic policies and business strategies.
ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS OF INTEREST	Prof. Dr. Suzana Guxholli is widely engaged in national and international academic, professional and advisory networks. She has led and participated in projects funded by the European Union, Monetary Fund, World Bank, UNDP, GTZ, and other international organizations and government institutions, with a focus on university innovation, youth employment, higher education reforms, quality assurance and institutional capacity development, business innovation etc. Her expertise includes the integration of university education with the economy, the labor market, sustainable economic development, innovation and technology in economics and education, etc.
