ACADEMIC TITLE AND POSITION Dr. / Lecturer
CURRENT ACADEMIC STATUS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND PhD, University Professor with a strong multidisciplinary background and over 20 years of experience in university teaching, scientific research, and academic coordination. He holds specialist and master’s degrees from Sapienza University of Rome and Université “Charles de Gaulle – Lille 3”, as well as two PhDs from Sapienza University of Rome, respectively in Public Health Sciences and Microbiology and in History of International Relations. His academic training integrates linguistic, glottodidactic, historical-political, and cultural studies, with particular focus on applied linguistics, specialized terminology, linguistic and cultural mediation, and international relations within the Euro-Mediterranean area.
POSITION He has held and currently holds university teaching and academic leadership roles at Italian and international institutions, including Higher Education Schools for Linguistic Mediators and state universities. He has served as Academic Coordinator and Director, as well as member of Boards of Administration, participating in academic bodies and technical-scientific committees. He also gained experience as a postdoctoral research fellow and research collaborator at Sapienza University of Rome, working in interdisciplinary fields including linguistics, forensic medicine, public health, and international studies.
CONTRIBUTIONS His research focuses on the interdisciplinary analysis of specialized languages, terminology, and glottodidactics applied to medical-scientific and diplomatic contexts, as well as on historical-political studies related to the Balkan area and Italo-Albanian relations. A particularly important research area concerns the study of linguistic minorities, with a specific focus on the historical Arbëreshë linguistic minority in Italy and the protection of minority language rights. He is author of scientific publications, editorial contributions, and journal articles, and has participated in editorial boards and national/international research groups.
ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS OF INTEREST He is actively involved in national and international academic networks and professional associations, attending conferences, workshops, and research projects. He collaborates on initiatives aimed at internationalization and innovation in the teaching of European languages.
